Sam by Ikatee is a sweet paper pattern for a unisex coat or jacket pattern.
Sam has the option of 2 lengths: short or mid length with a front and back shoulder yoke. The options for the collar include: round neck, round collar, classic collar or lined hood.
The coat can be fastened with a button placket or a zip with facing. Choose your patch pockets from square or round options and you can also include a chest pocket if you like.
The coat can be lined or unlined.
Sewing level: Intermediate to Advance
Age/size range: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 years
What you will practice with this sewing pattern: how to assemble pockets, assemble a facing, a zipper, a collar or a hood and a lining.
Material suggestions:
Cotton canvas, denim, coated canvas (oiled or waxed), wool fabrics, thick linen. The use of thick knitted fabrics is possible (such as knitted denims, fleece, sherpa, etc)
Lining: poplin or jersey for body + hood and/or polyester for sleeves. It is possible to quilt lining with a padding at hood, body and/or sleeves (see the video on the Ikatee website for instructions)

Their printed paper patterns are simply stunning – presented in a smart wallet, each pattern comes with a booklet of instructions with full colour photographs. Instructions are in English and French. The pattern itself is printed onto quality paper that can be used again and again.
Important Info
We aim to represent our products as accurately as we possibly can, however due to varying screen settings colours may differ slightly. If you are unsure about the colour or quality of the fabrics then please order a sample.
We sell our fabrics in half metre increments. Please select your desired amount from the required length drop down menu. Your fabric will be cut in one continuous length.
Occasionally we may need to contact you regarding products in your order. Please make sure you enter your correct contact details at the checkout to avoid delays.
Delivery & Returns
Whilst we aim to process orders as speedily as possible, during busy periods it could be up to 3 working days to have your order ready to ship.
Once you receive an email notifying you that we have finished processing your order that means that your parcel is on its way.
We send all orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
Fabric is cut to order to your required length. We are therefore unable to accept returns for cut fabrics, unless faulted.
