An ideal sewing project for beginners, Samara is an easy-breezy top that’s quick and simple to make. It has a modern, relaxed fit, with V neckline, drop shoulders, four sleeve styles, and two hemlines to choose from. Our easy-to-follow photo instructions will guide you through each step of the way.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS – Light- to medium-weight fabrics such as cotton lawn, poplin, seersucker, double gauze, washed linen, and linen-viscose blends. If you’re a more confident stitcher, try viscose (rayon), lyocell (Tencel), or crêpe de chine.
SUPPLIES
- Fabric (see above + back of envelope)
- Matching thread
- 0.4m (1/2yd) x 90cm (1yd) wide iron-on interfacing (similar weight to your fabric)
- For lightweight/crinkled fabric: 0.9m (1yd) x 15mm (¾in) wide bias-cut strips of lightweight interfacing or iron-on stay tape
- For elasticated sleeve versions: 0.75m (7/8yd) x 20mm (¾in) wide elastic, plus 2 safety pins
Important Info
We aim to represent our products as accurately as we possibly can, however due to varying screen settings colours may differ slightly. If you are unsure about the colour or quality of the fabrics then please order a sample.
We sell our fabrics in half metre increments. Please select your desired amount from the required length drop down menu. Your fabric will be cut in one continuous length.
Occasionally we may need to contact you regarding products in your order. Please make sure you enter your correct contact details at the checkout to avoid delays.
Delivery & Returns
Whilst we aim to process orders as speedily as possible, during busy periods it could be up to 3 working days to have your order ready to ship.
Once you receive an email notifying you that we have finished processing your order that means that your parcel is on its way.
We send all orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
Fabric is cut to order to your required length. We are therefore unable to accept returns for cut fabrics, unless faulted.
