Not to be confused with regular tie dye, Batik tie dye uses wax relief to create the abstract patterns and depth of colours. Melted wax is applied to the fabric in stages before the fabric is dyed, the wax is then washed off to reveal a beautiful and unique design.

The base cloth for this Batik tie dye is a medium weight 100% cotton poplin. Tightly woven, soft and smooth – this fabric is ideal for a wide range of projects from jackets, tops, shirts or trousers to structured dresses or skirts. It would also lend itself well to bags and accessories or homeware projects such as cushions or quilts.

Important Info

We aim to represent our products as accurately as we possibly can, however due to varying screen settings colours may differ slightly. If you are unsure about the colour or quality of the fabrics then please order a sample.

We sell our fabrics in half metre increments. Please select your desired amount from the required length drop down menu. Your fabric will be cut in one continuous length.

Occasionally we may need to contact you regarding products in your order. Please make sure you enter your correct contact details at the checkout to avoid delays.

Delivery & Returns

Whilst we aim to process orders as speedily as possible, during busy periods it could be up to 3 working days to have your order ready to ship.

Once you receive an email notifying you that we have finished processing your order that means that your parcel is on its way.

We send all orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Fabric is cut to order to your required length. We are therefore unable to accept returns for cut fabrics, unless faulted.
